📋 Overview

Losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) used to treat high blood pressure and protect kidney function in people with diabetes. It is generally well-tolerated with fewer side effects than ACE inhibitors.

How It Works

Losartan blocks angiotensin II, a hormone that narrows blood vessels. This relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and reducing strain on the heart and kidneys.
